Job Summary

The HVAC Installation Technician is responsible for the installation, replacement, and startup of residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This position ensures all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications, building codes, and company quality standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install new HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, boilers, and ventilation equipment.
• Remove and replace existing HVAC equipment and components.
• Install and modify ductwork, refrigerant lines, electrical wiring, condensate drains, and system controls.
• Perform system startup, testing, balancing, and commissioning to ensure proper operation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, installation manuals, wiring diagrams, and job specifications.
• Verify installations meet local building codes, manufacturer requirements, and company quality standards.
• Educate customers on system operation, thermostat programming, maintenance, and warranty information.
• Maintain accurate installation records, work orders, and documentation.
• Safely operate company vehicles, tools, ladders, and equipment.
• Keep work areas clean and organized while maintaining a professional appearance.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with service technicians, project managers, and warehouse staff to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HVAC technical school certification or equivalent training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of HVAC installation experience preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Certification required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and installation drawings.

Required Skills

• Experience installing gas furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and ventilation equipment.

This role ensures equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, and ventilation equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and seasonal inspections on HVAC systems.
• Install, replace, and commission HVAC equipment according to manufacturer specifications and local codes.
• Inspect electrical components, refrigerant lines, motors, compressors, thermostats, and control systems.
